Statement on Submission of Recall Signatures
State Senator Pam Galloway (R-Wausau) released the following statement on today’s submission of recall signatures by the Democrat Party of Wisconsin:
“Over the next few days, my campaign will review each and every signature to make certain that they are valid and documented in accordance with state law. I owe it to those who made their voices heard in 2010 and who did not sign the recall petitions to carefully examine these signatures collected by the paid surrogates of Madison-based special interests. In the meantime, I will continue to do the job I was elected to do and fight for the working families and taxpayers of my district.
“I want to thank my neighbors and supporters from all over the 29th Senate District for their words of encouragement throughout the past two months. The signatures turned in represent only a small portion of my district’s population, and I have heard from Republicans, Independents and even Democrats that the recalls are wrong for Wisconsin. It is very telling that the far left encountered difficulties in collecting signatures against me. The majority of those in Central Wisconsin recognize that the reforms I supported were necessary to ensure a prosperous future for our state.”
Senator Pam Galloway has been representing the 29th Senate District since January of 2011.
