Galloway Releases Statement on Recall Efforts

Galloway Releases Statement on Recall Efforts
Remains Focused on Creating Jobs and Fighting for Taxpayers

State Senator Pam Galloway (R-Wausau) released the following statement on today’s
announcement that paperwork has been filed to attempt to recall her from office:

“While this comes as little surprise, I am disappointed that a group, fueled by out
of state special interests, wants to recall me for fighting against the status quo of
high taxes and out of control spending in Madison.  It has only been a little over
a year since I won my election.  I’m proud that the promises I made on my
campaign to control taxes, promote jobs, and reduce spending are all things that
I have accomplished and continue to prioritize.  The legislation and initiatives I’ve
been working on in Madison are producing real results.

“I stand by my commitment of prioritizing the needs of taxpayers and hard
working families and not passing the buck on making difficult choices in doing so.
Since taking office in January, I’ve been traveling all across my district and know
that my constituents want lawmakers working together in Madison instead of
wasting taxpayer dollars on recalls that only widen the partisan divide.

“I’ve never backed down from a challenge and will vigorously defend my record
of working on behalf of my constituents in the 29th Senate District.  I look
forward to continuing to speak to residents all over the district and will continue
doing the job they elected me to do.”

Senator Pam Galloway has been representing the 29th Senate District since January of
2011.
