About Pam

State Senator Pam Galloway was elected to represent the 29th Senate District in the Wisconsin State Senate on November 2, 2010.  The 29th Senate District includes all or parts of Marathon, Portage, Price, Sawyer, Shawano, Rusk, and Taylor Counties.  Senator Galloway chairs the Senate Committee on Public Health, Human Services, and Revenue and is vice chair of the Senate Committee on Health.  In addition, she is a member of the Senate Committee on Economic Development and Veterans and Military Affairs, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Utilities, Commerce, and Government Operations, Senate Committee on Natural Resources and Environment, and the Joint Legislative Council.  Senator Galloway is a political newcomer having never held public office before her election to the State Senate.

Senator Galloway is a board certified surgeon, specializing in the treatment of breast cancer.  She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago and received her M.D. from the Medical College of Virginia.  Senator Galloway and her husband Chris reside in Wausau and have been married for 33 years.  Senator Galloway is on the executive board of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central Wisconsin Affiliate.  She is a member of the Wausau Area Chamber of Commerce and is also the past Chair of the Republican Party of Marathon County.
